Your Path to Becoming a Family Inclusive Workplace™
It all starts with the Self-Assessment
To achieve certification, employers need to complete a straightforward accreditation process.
The first step is to complete the Self-Assessment, an online tool that determines your organisation’s eligibility.
This assessment evaluates your people and culture policies and practices against the Global Work + Family Standards, helping you understand where you stand and what’s needed to achieve certification.

By completing the Self-Assessment, your organisation will gain valuable insights into its strengths and areas for improvement, setting the foundation for a more inclusive and supportive workplace.
The accreditation process is managed by Working Families – the national charity for working parents and carers with over 30 years of experience in advising employers, you’ll benefit from their insight and expertise as they guide you through the accreditation process.
Once you have completed the Self-Assessment, you’ll be allocated a Working Families Relationship Manager. They will be your point of contact and will guide you through your journey to certification, meeting with you at pivotal points to discuss where you’re at, and where you’re headed.
To complete the Self-Assessment, you’ll need an understanding of your HR policies and practices related to parental leave, flexible work, caregiving, and employee wellbeing provisions. The assessment takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and you can save your progress to return later if needed.
